thank you for all your hard work and dedication

We know we’ve told you before how much we love the community we’re located in, but we also love the people we work with. We realize that we have so much to be thankful for and our subcontractors are a big part of that. Nearly all of our subs have been with us over 5 years and some have been with us since the beginning. It is because of the talent that lies in these individuals that we can build the kind of homes we build. We’re proud of our subs and we’re proud to say that they have all dedicated their lives to their professions and they have chosen us to work with.

So how long have they been with us?

we'd like to introduce...

We have something we'd like to share with you! We're always trying to find new homes that hit a certain price point and wrap the homeowners in a blanket of luxury and comfort that only our homes do. So, since we work with you, we understand what you want and need which brings us to our NEW home plan! In the photos below there are two, second floor plans. The one home plan features three bedrooms and the other four - it all depends on your needs. Maybe you have a big family or you're looking to have one or perhaps you have a smaller family, but want room to grow, maybe you just want to live in an Ashford home - whatever your reason, we hope you love this home as much as we do! (the floor plan with four bedrooms is 1,959 square feet and the three bedroom plan is 1,915 square feet) Interested? Contact us, we'd love to tell you more about it!

you may be green, but is your home?

the idea of living life in a more green manner has become more mainstream in recent years. more people are recycling, driving fuel efficient vehicles and doing what they can do to lessen their carbon footprint. (if you're interested in knowing what your carbon footprint is and how to offset it check out the website carbonfootprint.com and use the calculator)

the building industry is also taking steps to make things more environmentally friendly. we get the magazine Green Builder and while flipping through it this month we found something that we want to share. it is a tool that can benefit builders as well as home owners.

visit the website nahbgreen.org and click on the tab labeled 'green scoring tool'. you'll have to create a user name and password, but it is free and worth it. from there you can go through your home and answer questions to determine the to extent to which your home is green. the site will score your home and say whether it is bronze, silver or gold. we're using it on our homes and you should too!

we love our community

ashley (our marketing and sales manager) and rob (our draftsperson) helping out at kidsville!

we love where we're located and we enjoy being able to give back to a town that has supported us for the last 18 years. this friday through sunday we're working together with members of the danville community to help re-build kidsville. the playground fell into disrepair and has been closed until volunteers were available to help make it safe for children once again.

we could still use more volunteers though, so if you would like to come out and join us, go ahead! The work will start at 8AM on all three days and will include mulching, sealing, sanding and tightening screws. Make sure to bring some tools if you come too (wheelbarrows, rakes, hammers, drills and screwdrivers).

give us a call if you'd like the join the fun! 275-9090

have your dream come true and get some money for it

You have most likely heard of the tax credit for first time homebuyers, but we want to shed some light on it and let you know what it is really all about. So we’ve put together a bulleted list of some of the major aspects and included a web address where you can obtain more information!

1. Homes must be purchased by a first time homebuyer between April 9, 2008 and July 1, 2009

2. The maximum credit is $7,500

3. Single taxpayer with an income up to $75,000 and married couples with a combine income of up to $150,000 are eligible

4. The credit is actually an interest fee government loan that must be repaid over a 15 year period

5. You can claim the tax credit on your federal income tax return

6. The home must be your principal residence

You’re sure to have more questions, so we’ve found a great website that will help you out. It has general information as well as a frequently asked questions part. As always if we can help in anyway just let us know!

we're having a party, wanna come?

Let's Party!

this saturday and sunday october 11th and 12th from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. we're opening our home for a party and you're invited! it is such a big deal that we're calling it a 'home party extavaganza' (now who can pass that up). plus we'll have lots of vendors available showcasing their products for the holiday season. so just who is showing up you ask? well how about avon, lia sophia, longaberger, mary kay, northern lights, pampered chef, premier design jewelry, princess house, scumptiously delicious, silpada, stamp 'n up, tastefully simple, tupperware, uppercase living AND MORE! (a little something for everyone if you ask me)
Directions: Take route 54 South over Danville/Riverside bridge. Go over railroad tracks straight through and around corner towards the Danville Airport. Turn left on Avenue G. Go past cemetery and turn left into new subdivision on the left. River Hill Lot #10 is at the top of the hill on left.

we'd love to live in tisbury (the house or the town)

when jeff and his daughters went to martha’s vineyard a few years ago they fell in love with the island. everything from the relaxed atmosphere to the beaches and even the little details like the flower gardens caught their attention. that’s why when they came up with a new home plan and needed a name they went back to the place they loved so much. the tisbury (named after the town of tisbury) incredible. with 2,700 square feet of space (3,300 if you finish the bonus room), a first floor owner’s suite, two-story foyer and great room, and four bedrooms (five if you really want) we couldn’t help, but fall in love with this home.

want to live here? it's for sale!

we've got a place for you to call home and it's located in the RiverHill Development in Riverside, PA.

plus that development is located in the danville area school district, which is ranked high in public school across the nation.

so if you think this house looks nice on the outside you should check out what's on the inside (after all it's what's on the inside that counts)

so what's inside...
well, lets start with the size, all 3, 534 square feet to be exact - but what does that square footage contain you ask? well how about four bedrooms, three and one half bathrooms, a three car garage, a first floor master suite, Brazilian cherry floors, a truly great 'great' room, a floor to ceiling stone fireplace, a corner whirlpool in the owner's bath, a custom staircase in the foyer and to top it all off an incredible front porch (the mountain views and sunsets are no extra charge)

what is the best part, you ask?
well the fact that this home can be yours for $499,000 (pretty nice huh?)
